2007 in brief
2007 was a busy year with 36 full restorations being completed, 14 PianoDisc systems were fitted in addition to all the case finishing and polyester work that we carry out on behalf of various companies including Linn Products.
The spring saw us undertaking a very interesting project on behalf of the Nationl Trust. We were asked to carry out conservation work on the action and keyboard for an ornate 1906 New York built Steinway B, housed in the newly restored Lower Gallery at Anglesea Abbey. The abbey is hoping to run a series of concerts on the instrument over the comming years.
The summer bought the usual flurry of education institution work including instruments from The London School of Economics and Truro School.
In September the workshop team was joined by Sam McKay who qualified with first class honours from London Metropolitan University in June. She will be working directly under Barry in the action finishing and regulation department.
Caradine Piano Tuning Services has had a revamp to bring the two sides of the business together. The tuning vehicles are now emblazened with the new logo which will reinforce the company image along with other advertising, and can be seen out and about through out East Anglia.
We would like to wish all our restoration, tuning and service clients past, present and future a very happy and prosperous New Year.
