Bechstein
Model A
This piano is owned by an American client and came to us from Scotland. It was fully restored using Renner parts, re-capped bridges and new wrestplank. The customer was delighted with our work and it is now the family piano in his home in Texas.
Imboia Model S
Re-veneered in imboia and finished in polyester, this stunning piano was restored and sold to a large local house where it takes pride of place.
6'8" finished in black satin
Work was carried out for a trade collegue. A new wrestplank was fitted as well as new Renner action parts including hammers, shanks and levers converting this from a tied action to the modern capstan arrangement. This makes the piano play wonderfully with an even, responsive action. He case was stripped, repaired and then finished in our black satin finish.
Model 9 Upright
This much loved family piano came to us on a very poor condition. Wat had been spilt all over the top which we had to strip and re-veneer. More veneer work was required to other parts of the piano. Finally it was finished in our satin finish. The piano now resides in its new home on the Scottish West Coast.
Model B
Restored for an important academic client this piano was fully restored to it's former glory. A family instrument it will give many more years of enjoyment. The work consisted of new wrestplank, re-capping of the bridges. New Renner action parts including hammers, shanks and new levers replacing the out dated tied action. This gives an excellant feel and response turning this piano into an instrument that is a joy to play.
Model L
Bechstein L, serial number 136630, circa 1930. Rosewood satin. Our favorite Bechstein model, this was a very pleasing example and quickly found a new home in Suffolk. The instrument as fully restored by the workshop and was completed spring 07.
Blüthner
Style 8 serial number 90948
This piano was re-veneered in sapelle, stained and finished in polyesteer to customer requirements. The customer reqested the finish at the early stages of the restoration. Fully restored internally the piano now resides near to the workshop.
Bösendorfer
Model 170
Serial number 23723 manufactured in 1925. Fully restored for private client who is delighted with the results. The tone was a beautiful and rounded witha good string tenor and bass.
Steinway & Sons
Model B finished in rosewood satin
This piano was completely restored for a trade client amd finished in our satin finish. A new Steinway action was fitted and the keyboard restored to retain the orriginal ivories.
Model B finished in black polyester
We completely restored this piano with new Steinway action. A new wrestplank was fitted and new agraffes fitted to the frame. Our technical work was capped off with a stunning case polyester making this piano look as new. This was a superb piano and it's owner was delighted with the work.
Model O in Satinwood
Completely restored this piano is unusually finished in satinwood. This piano had a new Steinway Factory action fitted, the keyboard and dampers being restored.
Model A
A truly beautiful piano finished in our saitn finish. The case is rosewood with pearwood banding a fine example of the pinaomakers craft. We completely restored this piano using Steinway factory supplied parts for this delighted customer.
Model D
This piano came to us in a terrible condition, badly fire damaged. Fortunately the main damage was to the case of the piano. Important internal parts were only suffering from smoke damage. The end result was a wonderfully full bodied concert instrument that will give many more years of pleasure to it's owner.
Other Marques
Scheimeyer 5'8" 20134
Fully restored internally the case was left as it fitted in with the decor of the room where the piano resides. Inside was completley restored to as new appearance. New Renner parts were used and the wrestplank replaced.
Broadwood Grand
This piano was compelty restored on the workshops. The case was finished in our satin lacquer which shows the beauty of the rosewood veneer.
Broadwood Boudoir Grand 7', circa 1890's
From the Gloucester area and damaged in the summer floods 07. The case was very badly damaged and not one ivory was left on the keyboard, the top of the keys being the height of the water! A much loved family piano we completely restored this instrument much to the delight of it's owner.
Grotrian Steinweg
Grotrian Steinweg, Model 185, circa 1927 This instrument was restored autumn 07 following damage caused by an internal flood. The flood caused damage to the strung back, soundboard, wrest plank and stringing before moving into the action and keyboard, causing damage to the keybed, stopping off block and action hooks. The piano wsa fully restored and the case refinished and returned home 21st December 07.
